Katherine Woodbury (she/her)
Founder of Continuum Doulas | www.beyondbirthing.co.uk
Katherine Woodbury is an award-winning Doula, NCT Antenatal Teacher, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor, and Doula Mentor with over 15 years of hands-on experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal journey.
As the founder and creator of the Continuum Doula Training, Katherine developed the unique six-antenatal, six-postnatal “Continuum Method” — a transformative model that bridges theory, embodiment, and real-world doula practice. Her work is deeply trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and inclusive, shaped by years of serving diverse families and mentoring new doulas across the UK.
Katherine is known for her warmth, wit, and no-nonsense authenticity, as well as her ability to hold space for growth, reflection, and empowerment. She’s passionate about helping doulas build sustainable, heart-centred practices grounded in evidence, empathy, and community.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her wild swimming, journaling, or surrounded by her two teenagers and four cats — all part of the continuum of connection she champions in every aspect of her work.

Sarah Gichie (she/her)Resident Doula & Birth Photographer | www.doulasarah.co.uk
Sarah Gichie is an experienced Doula and Birth Photographer whose work celebrates the beauty, power, and truth of birth in all its forms. With years of hands-on doula experience and a creative eye for detail, Sarah brings a unique perspective to the Continuum team — blending practical support with artistic storytelling.
During the training, Sarah is in residence, offering participants the chance to have professional portraits taken for their websites or social media, and sharing her expert insight into the art and ethics of birth photography. Her sessions offer inspiration, confidence, and practical tools for capturing and honouring life’s most transformative moments — both through the lens and in the work of being a doula.
