Katherine Woodbury (she/her)
Katherine is the founder of Continuum Doulas.
Katherine has been a Doula for 15 years and developed the Continuum method to better serve her clients.
Katherine is an award winning NCT Antenatal teacher, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor and Doula Mentor.
She has two children and 3 cats.
Sarah Gichie (she/her)
Sarah is an experienced Doula.
She is also a birth photographer and will be in residency during the course.
Sarah can take your portrait during the course ready for your website and/or social media account!
Sarah gives you an insight to the world of birth photography and talks through the best tips to capture that special moment!
Suyai Steinhauer (she/her)
CPM, RM BSc (Hons) Midwifery
Suyai Steinhauer is an Independent Midwife, dedicated to providing evidence-base, client-centred care that supports people to feel empowered and confident through the childbirth continuum.
Whilst working with the Amish she unpacked the medical model of birth and became confident with childbirth emergencies at home.
She is passionate about supporting ‘unique normality’; birth being a normal life event rather than a medical condition; supporting babies to have a gentle start; facilitating birth physiology and guiding women to connect with their inner knowing and instinctive birthing ability.
With a particular interest in pre and perinatal psychology and healing from birth trauma, Suyai offers Birth Trauma Resolution and is training to be a Somatic Experiencing practitioner.
Lucy Hewitt (she/her)
Lucy is an experienced Doula and placenta remedies specialist. Lucy is also passionate about the mind- body processes involved in pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenthood. Lucy works with parents pre and post birth to facilitate the use of relaxation, NLP, self-hypnosis and other personalised mind-body processes
Lilli is a Queer Afro-futurist holding space for the past, present and future during times of transition. They provide emotional, physical, and spiritual support throughout the full spectrum of pregnancy, abortion/pregnancy release, loss, birth and postnatal transition. Lilli practices mindful movement, co-regulation, reflection and mapping to support folks in periods of change and integration.
Geraldine Fowler (she/her)
Geraldine joins us with a plethora of knowledge and 20 years of midwifery skills.
She has recently retired from midwifery and joined the Continuum Doulas!
Throughout the week she will be sharing her knowledge on topics such as anatomy and physiology, how breastfeeding works and the microbiome!
Emilie is an experienced Doula, pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher, pregnancy and postnatal masseuse. Emilie also specialises in Diastasis Recti and pelvic floor. Emily drops in to offer workshops on all kinds of things- meditation through to hula hooping!
Alice Caudle (she/her)
Amber Strong (she/her)
Amber is an experienced Doula, breastfeeding peer supporter and Maternity voices partnership volunteer. Amber helps us all to have a better understanding of human rights in childbirth and how to navigate the NHS. Amber is a parent to four, and has fascinating birth stories up her sleeve!
Michelle Weeks (she/her)
Michelle Weeks- (AKA Doula Shell) will be joining us to get creative and talk us through what a Maternal Journal session is- and how we can set up a group for expectant parents. We will explore this technique together, starting with our own self care!
Michelle is an experienced Doula, antenatal teacher and parent of twins.
